One of my most anticipated (if not THE most anticipated) books of the year and I got the opportunity to read it early!! I absolutely flew through this book. It was the same fun, charming style of Well Met with a character that was frighteningly relatable haha.
Stacey, our sweet friend from the first novel, gets her own chance at a love story and HEA (happy ever after). 27 years old, still lives at home with her parents, a job that she doesn’t feel passionate about, and friends that seem to be moving on and living life without her. So what does someone who feels lost do? Get drunk and send a risky message to a flame of course! In a moment of alcohol-infused bravery, Stacey sends an email to her ren faire fling and ends up in a back-and-forth of emails revealing more of herself to this one guy than she has to anyone in a long time. It’s all she can do to count down the days to the next renaissance faire and her chance to see her man again. But we all know it’s not quite that simple.
I loved this book, it was just what I needed to help me get through a slumpy time and some bad feelings. It’s hopeful and fun and filled with humor. I found Stacey to be refreshingly relatable and a heroine that I could easily identify with. I think that’s something that DeLuca does well in her novels, her characters aren’t perfect and that makes their stories even more enjoyable. I can’t wait for you to get your hands on this in September when it comes out. While we won’t get any real ren faires this year, it is nice to be able to enjoy them through this story!
I looooooved well met and I liked this one too
